Default Ram Air ?Could this work

I have been unimpressed with the driving lights on my vette so i started gathering parts to design some new turn signals and driving lights for the nose .I purchased a spare turn signal driving light enclosure and started to lay out a design. Im going to use delron and machine a plate to hold new driving lights and also mount 25 led lights for turn and marker lamps. have about 5-6" of extra space after all is drawn out. Couldn't i machine a scoop for the nose it would be where the driving light is now and plumb it for a ram air set up. Im guessing the Hose behind scoop would be like 2" would this be enough air flow for it as soon as i finish drawing ill post it. But wanted to get some info to see if it is worth doing.
I photo-chop a pic so you have a visual in a little bit . Orange is turn signal metal circles are piaa driving lights rectangles will be ram air ducts ill make it out of 1.5" delron plastic and I'm going to machine so it fits in nose like stock signal unit does will it work or am i just wasting machine time.

Very interesting concept....similar to the ram air kits they sell for the Z06 and C5's. Seems to me that with two 2" tubes, you would be getting about the same flow as the engine is taking from the air filter. Something I would look at doing (if you go with this) is some wire mesh like on the Z06 brake ducts to keep large pieces of garbage and bugs out of the air cleaner.

This is a $400 dollar set up here

Very interesting,,, I like this Idea,,,,, and you can actually hide it by gettting the louvers that they sell for the pre-91 vettes,,, You may be on to something here :yesnod: :yesnod:

I also was thinking about fabricating a claw type breather out of 2 1/2" PVC pipe

Two 2" tubes are not going to allow enough air into the engine. IMO, it would be like having a restrictor on your intake. In contrast, I run two 3" tubes to each front brake rotor just to cool them.

Back in the seventies, oldsmobikle had scoops for ram air under the far corners of the front bumbers in their 442. Wouldn't that be the same thing?
