Default LT1 stroker max c.i.?

how far can you bore and stroke a LT1 block? i know some ppl have gone to a 402 or even a 406 i think. Who makes cranks for them that big? can you go any bigger? obviously you can only go so far with theboring because of the sleeves being to close together. who makes strong sleeves for these stroker motors? apperantly you can go 427 with an LS1 because you can get the right sleeves for it. can you do this with a LT1? please feed me details on this.

I have seen people do a 421 which I think was done using a 4.125" stroke on a 4.030" bore. It can also be done with a 4" stroke crank and a block that is overbored .090" but that is seriously pushing the clearancing limits of the block and most will not go that far out.

It is usually uncommon to find on over a 396 (4.030" bore x 3.875" stroke). Several have done a 409 which is a 4" stroke crank and an 030 over bore.

I've heard that the LT1 blocks are very touchy to over bores. Definitely agree with going 396 so you have a few more rod options (clearance)

Yeah i think i will go with the 396 now after reading all this and doing more research. i just want to be able to make som serious NA rwhp and im thinking cubic inches will be theeasiest way to do it and since i want to keep the stock block im thinking 396 will be my best bet
