Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (korvette4u)
If my mean old wife didn't toss it, I think I still have one from my 92, hidden in the jungle that I call a garage, that I removed when I installed a keyless entry kit in it. Have to search for it tomorrow. I save everything!
Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (korvette4u)
I couldn't stand it, so, flashlight in hand, at 10:25 PST I went out and looked for the damned relay. If the legend is: Potter & Brumfield and the part number is:
VF4-15F11-Z01
14100455
Then, sitting right here, 2 1/2 years after I yanked them out of the 92, are TWO of the relays you seek. The operative word is "operative": they were working when I removed them. Let's see, there's another number on the side of the housing: 920932B. Bids start at $10,000! (just kidding) $5, including shipping seems a fair price. One to a customer. First two replies to: ventrej@msn.com get the little jewels. :D
Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (BIG JIM 54)
It wouldn't be wise to try to jumper or bypass the delay module. The way I read the schematic, , when the module is energized, pins 30 and 87 are made to make contact and the lights come on. Once the module "times out", pins 30 and 87A make contact. If you jumpered 30 and 87, the lights would stay on all the time! It could be by-passed, but the effort is not worth the trouble and the lights would go off as the door is closed. My guess is that some bright young person could jury-rig replacement modules but I doubt if the effort would result in enough sales to make it worthwhile.

Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (-=Jeff=-)
The module is 1 1/16' square, 1" high and has 5 spade type-pins extruding from the bottom. The pins are identified as 30, 85, 86, 87 & 87A on the schematic printed on the side of the module and each pin is identified on the bottom of the module. The module is black, the printing is silver! See my above post for part Number. Tip: read ALL posts on any given subject.

your discription is perfect for the relay ..i agree..BUT it is not the part that needs replaceing
The interior light delay module P/N is GM 100098435..timer switch.. this is the part that is defective.. do you have this part? :smash:
Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (korvette4u)
This was addressed in Corvette Fever recently. As I remember, delay modules are unavailable, however, they were used in most all GM cars of the same era as our cars and interchange. Pick and Pull here I come! HTH.
Re: interior light delay module.. can it be replaced or bypassed? (olman)
The GM part # may be one thing, the numbers on the relay are Potter and Brumfield ID #'s. I pulled these modules and replaced them with the timers in the kit but what do I know? I'm outta here. :D
