I got a Harlan shift light and just installed mine yesterday, very compact, good price too, programmable in 100 RPM increments
I love my Harlan light, but have been leery of recommending him due to many reports of long delays in processing and lack of email response. How long did it take to get your shiftlight?
Not bright enough... at least not during the day. You need something that allows you to look straight ahead at the road and be able to still see the light going off.
I love my Harlan, but did have to wait 4 months or so for mine (that was 3 years ago).
I just couldn't bring myself to drill a hole in my car. I mounted mine on the drivers A pillar with double sided tape. Its been up there for over 2 years now with no problems. It is out of sight from outside the car.

Thanks, that's good news, so I will continue to recommend Harlan.
BTW, Raptor Performance also makes a similar shiftlight. I think it is slightly longer, smaller diameter, slightly nicer packaging, no pills, but more expensive. I have no direct experience though.
But to be hidden or nearly hidden (like an AC Duct), it won't be in your field of view anyway. For stealth and visibility, putting something in your A pillar or dash pad would be cool, but then you're cutting holes.

True, but you can always see the flash, regardless what time of day it is. For 92 and ups, there is a vent that isn't usable (no air comes out it). I certainly can't see the harm in cutting a 1" hole in the back of the vent when it isn't functional. It's a brilliant place to put it, actually.
