Just wondering if this sounds like the Opti to you guys.Removed and cleaned radiator and reinstalled. Did throttle Bypass(caught every drop of fluid coming out) and plugged openings. Refilled with fluid, checked for leaks, test drove....everything looks fine. 2 days later I take it for a trip down the Highway and it's running a little hotter than it was before it was cleaned. Was running at 188 on the highway...now about 198. I get off the Highway and go another 15 miles and it starts to stumble a little bit taking off from Stoplights. Get to my destination and notice it's idling a little rough, I check for leaks and everything looks good. It sits all day....then I try to start it and it cranks over but no spark. Strong smell of fuel after repeated attempts but no luck. Checked all my wires and found nothing loose. Didn't see any antifreeze on the Opti...just oil(has leak somewhere up there but can't see where...not massive, but leaking still). It's a 93 LT1 with a 110,000 miles on it. I really doubt the Opti has ever been changed(just purchased car last October). Would really appreciate the help...the car is sitting in another town about an hour away and would really like to get it back home.
check the coil lead... you might have loosened it when you were working on the tb. I am wondering if another connector on the TB hasn't been loosened. MAP, TPS, IAC... they are all there.
did you block off the tb? or reroute? I would reroute... just me...

Re: Opti? (bogus)
I just changed my Opti's cap & rotor, it's a 95. With 108K on it the cap & rotor were pitted, it's a distributor after all, so that's to be expected. Check the wires and the plugs first though.
EDIT
Oil can due as much damage as water, I had a little oil in mine, despite being vented, since it's an optical unit, it's like drivng with oil on your windshield. Check to make sure the plug wires aren't caked up.
