Delteq in Opti out
I have made the jump and decided to go with the DELTEQ system. I was considering the Dyna-Spark but since it retains the HV part of the OPTI , the rotor and cap, and most of the problems are in this area I decided to bite the bullet and go with the DELTEQ. I got a new set of coils off e-bay for $120 and the DELTEQ system including mounting brackets and wires for $397 shipped. I think this will work out nicley since I have a feeling I have a problem with a carbon track in my cap at the moment (Slight intermitant miss a cruise). Now at least I will be done with the high voltage side of the Opti that seems to cause most of the problems once and for all. I have the newer 95+ vented style Opti so I think the opti part should be good to go. I will be gone for the next month but will post some pics when I get back and get it installed. April will be a busy month when I get back because I will also be installing my new Stainless headers, 28# injectors, and Acell AFPR, then its off top the dyno to get the ECM tuned for the new setup. :D
