Funny electrical sound

This moring I went to start up my 94 vette and heard what appeared to be a starter problem. It sounded like a clicking, except the power went out completely. I waited a few minutes, then tried it again, and it started. Anyone every experience this before. You thought would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

could be the starter... the bendix may be wearing out...

Thanks, but would the starter shut down the electrical system for a few moments?

Sounds like maybe the starter wire could be loose.

Thanks, I'm going to put it on the rack and check the connections to the starter. It does sound like that would be it.

Sounds like a poor ground connection or it could be the starter solenoid. I would check the ground cable first . Start at battery and then look at where it attaches to the engine to see that it is tight with no corrosion and that the wire is not corroded internally..
