Bose Gold No Go

Have a 1992 w/Bose Gold system. Pops and cracks but no other sound. I want to fix it but don't want to chase rabbits. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks for the advise

Amps are dead. Get them fixed and roll the dice on the next part of the system to fail.

yeah sound like the amps in the speakers are shot, you can get replacements at your favorite mail order store, not to hard to replace :cheers:

I would check your clk/ctsy fuse and you amp relay before I sent anything away :smash:

there was a post on here that I read yesterday about radio problems. One person said to go to http://www.bose.com & talk with their customer service. He mentioned that he got his amps replaced cheaper than mid amer. sells them.

My Bose system was acting up last week. Sound...no sound...crack...pop...no sound front...no sound rear. I was listening to the system pretty loud and thought it might have overheated or something. Later that night I went out to check on it and there was NOTHING! I checked the fuses and found that the bose 20 amp fuse and the 5 amp courtesy lamp fuse were swithched and the 5 amp that was in the Bose slot had blown. I simply put the 20 amp fuse in the Bose slot and another 5 amp in the courtesy lamp slot and everything is good to go now. I hope yours will be that simple.
