Default Power window motor question

Just installed a new power window motor and i dont know how to adjust it. My window is going up too high and goes down exactly where it needs to. How do i make the window stop where it needs to, do i adjust the motor or the window itself.

No, the motor has no adjustments but the window and stops have plenty to make up for it.

The up stop is on the door frame. There are two of them, one that adjusts the front of the window and the other near the rear of the door adjusts the back part of the window height. The motor stalls when the window mechanism hits the stops.

There's also an adjustment that moves the top of the window in or out. You'll see several places where there are bolts in a slot. That is a good place to start. Do one at a time until you figure out which adjustment does what.

As a side note, if you have any deep scratches in your door glass, they can be removed inspite of what the glass shop will tell you. Eastwood makes a deep scratch removing kit and it works. I have it. But it's not easy and it's time consuming but saves the labor and price of the new glass. http://www.eastwood.com
