My driver side headlight has had the gears replaced once and it ran fine for a 1/2 year. Turning the lights on is no problem, but now when I turn the lights off, it flips over, but the motor keeps running and it vibrates and makes a fairly loud noise. I can get it to stop by pulling the light *** back out slightly from inside the car, but then the headlight does not lie flush with the hood.
Are the gears my problem again? One person told me that it needs to be adjusted, if so how can I adjust it? Someone please help. Thank you.
:banghead:
Get it fixed quick or you will be going through another set of gears. The noise you are hearing is the screw gear jumping over the teeth on the other gear.
I had very similar symptoms, but mine turned out to be a relay that was going out.
I believe there are 2 limit switches in the motor. I haven't had mine apart so I can't offer any first hand knowledge :smash:
Hopefully someone who does will chime in.
Have you tried the search engine on the left side of screen
