Its suppose to just pull out after you get the header stud off. I on the other hand I was unable to get mine to move at all. I didn't want to mangle it then have it brake in the block and have to remove the oilpan to get the thing out.
So I came up with just cutting the header flange between #8 & 6. Worked perfectly. Slide right in without any problems, and didn't have to move the oil dipstick tube at all! Plus if I ever have to remove them for some reason I wouldn't have to struggle to get it out.
I struggled with the idea of cutting the flange of brand new TPIS headers, but in the end it worked out nicely. If you want pictures I can email them to you.
Pretty much I just made the passanger side look like a set of Hooker headers, which already have the cutout.
