I need help getting the plenum off. I've removed 4 torx bolts from both the left and right side of the upper runners, took the line off the back on the left side, all vac. lines and connectors have been disc., I even removed the Throttle Body, I can't get it to budge, What am I missing or is there a trick to it? Any help would be great.
There are bolts on the backside. If your taking off the drivers side you have to reach these bolts from the passenger side and vise/verse. I think there are 2 or 3 bolts on the manafold on each side. hope this helps.
Get your-self a big rubber mallet and smack that thing like you're really pissed. Hit it hard, but be careful as it is aluminum ... it will slowly pop loose. Mine was tough at first also.

Thats only if your taking off your Runners as well. The inside bolts are @ the (inside) base of your runners and are threded into the intake manifold....Correct???

Re: Need help with plenum (Professor)
Looking down at the plenum... try to twist it counterclockwise slightly... this is the onnly way to get the brake booster fitting from clearing the runner flange without removing the distributor cap. The gaskets can be sticky.. so whack it gently with a dead blow or rubber mallet.
Also, the IAT sensor is plugged in undernneath... lift carefully just ennough to get your hand in there to unplug it.
I shoved a screwdriver inbettween the plenum and runners and twisted. After :beatdeadhorse: it and it poped off. I know its wrong....but I didn't care.
