post says it all. and what cam would most of u MR people suggest running with a 1pc. 383 hyd.roller motor? its gonna see daily use prolly 3-5 days a week max and i want power, and nothing less than violent accleration either! thanx in advance!
The 2nd column is with 1.5s, the 3rd is with 1.6s. The Crane 234/242 makes some awesome horspower but it doesn't really start coming on until 3000rpms.
The Comp Cams 230/236 and the Crane 222/230 are both very streetable and nice wide torque band.
thanx 96, i want a cam that generates power in the upper rpm band.ive only had experience with a few cam competators.crower and or STOCK! i'd like to try the Xtr.en. cams that COMP CAMS has to offer. i'd run the 284HR cam from comp w/ 1.6's. this motor will have true dual exhaust and alot of other goodies.im planning on some AFR 210 heads aswell....yes thats a large set for street i know. but i said violent acceleration!!
Re: MINI-RAM...better than stealth or no? (SHINOBI-X)

If thats what you want then go with the Crane 234/242 .574/.595. Retarding the cam by 4 degrees will move the power band 200 RPM higher up, say 2500 to 6500rpm.
You didn't mention if it was an auto or not. With the above setup and a 2600 stall convertor, you will be like  :steering:
