Default CHIP IDENT.

Trying to figure out what I have. Looks like a stock chip I have, but inside this ones leftside view hole is a hand written sticker with DC896 5 or S not sure. Also had a sticker on outside that said 89, 6speed, no cats, the rest the genius covered with a piece of cork so you can't read it.on the side of the light blue over brown case are the # 68767 9006. I guess it's been reprogramed, any way to get into what it's programed for? I'm lost
Again many thanks....... :seeya

My eyes aren't good enough to tell what year you have by your picture, but if it were me, I wouldn't waste time on that MemCal. I'd call Chris at Superior and have him send the OEM MemCal for your year + options. The BIN changed over the years, and by ordering new you'll get the latest BIN for your car. I would also suggest a new ECM module, they also changed over the years. (This is the one in the engine compartment, by the A/C condenser - it controls the knock sensor on the older C4s).

Alternately, you could get Ed Wright or Fomato to program your MemCal (or a spare), giving them all your mods.

You didn't say if you were having problems with it or not...

You can open the BIN up with Tunercat or WinBin or other editors, but unless you have an OEM BIN to compare it with, it won't tell you much...(That's after you use something like Craig Moates software + an ALDL cable to store the BIN in your laptop)...

It gets complicated real fast...
