I have a accell ported base, slp runners, ported stock plenum and D-113 heads fully ported, 3 angle valve job edelbrock rpm springs, 1.6 roller rockers. Everything port matched. This stuff was going to be for my low mile 85' all original. I get the engine apart and the short block is out of the roller cam years with my 85' heads on it. So what camshaft do you guy's recomend. I would like to run in the 12's-low 13's street car.
I would like to run the LPE 119 @ 119/119 with .560" lift. Or should I go lower on the lift and a higher duration, Edelbrock RPM 234/238 duration with 539"/548" lift. Any other suggestions would be great :smash:
Ya. A better cam is the one (more or less) with the highest lift and least duration right. That is why I was going to go with the LPE 119. If I do get the 119 does anyone know off hand if it would work with the edelbrock rpm valve springs that I already have? The edelbrock customer service guy said that the RPM cam would work good with the springs. And that since the RPM springs can handle the lift of the RPM roller cam they should be fine with the LPE wich is in the same ball park if you add the 1.6 rockers in onto the edelbrocks cam.
I forgot to mention. Would the LPE cam work good without running the supper ram intake? Because thats what the came is dessinged for. But I have the "base" of the ram wich is fully ported and I have the slp runners and the ported plenum.
