Default tunercat experts-help needed

hi all

i just purchased tunercat and it looks like a fine program...also the 8D file for my 90 L98

what confuses me, that in the ecm constants some values are a bit strange

when i load my stock bin (read it out from my chip) i get for example

Injector flow rate 221 / hour

Air-fuel ratio 1473

and a few more

it look like there are some values just multiplied wit 10, 100 or 1000

my question..is this a normal behavior, or will i have to change the values??

thank you

Silly rounding Behavior of TunerCat. I pointed out some errors and they fixed a couple of the calculations that are off in TC2, but there are still alot that make no sense. The Air/Fuel ratio number in the Constants table is one of them. Maybe if you let them know about this, too, they'll adjust the $8D file.

I haven't been here for a long time, so I'm just getting to you on this one.

We fixed this problem. It was because Corvette90 is located in Austria, and his PC is set up to use a comma for a decimal point instead of a dot as we do here in North America. Simple fix

Shoot, howdy! So there's a new $8D definition file? Since you are such a great e-mailer, could you zip it to me, or do you want me to sign-in under my registration name?

By-the-by, there is a bit set for voltage to be checked either from the battery or the fuel pump. Address: L8016, bit 6.

I think it is zero for pump - 1 for battery. Next time you feel like changing the constants file, maybe you could add this one.

After adding all the tables you did to the last $8D file, you aren't going to believe it, but I have another one:

At address L8FF5: Decell Fuel Cut off Table.

When you feel like adding it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks you for the program. It sure is alot easier than hacking through Hex code and trying to figure-out whether to drop a bit or not.

Once I learn how to tune this thing, I'm going to learn how to drive it.
