89 vette, seems his is blowing oil out of the dip stick when he kicks it down pretty hard, he noticed the plastic seal was cracked. What would cause it to blow oil out of the dip stick?
My dads '89 was springing leaks here & there (as well as out the dipstick) and as it turned out, the cats were almost completly clogged creating excessive crankcase pressure.

Cats or pcv or bad rings.
Diagnose the pcv system first: If the pcv valve rattles, it's working.
Do a compression check next. Then squirt some oil into the cylinders with an eye dropper and do the compression check again. If you see significant PSI gains with the oil in there, rings are shot. Clogged cats shouldn't hurt the compression check numbers (unless they're completely plugged), since the engine doesn't flow hardly much air at cranking speed.
