maybe your fluid level is low? some cars trip the light from a sensor in the reservoir.

There is a low brake fluid sensor mounted on the master cylinder. It triggers the same light as the e-brake I believe

Low fluid will also trip the ASR/ABS as well to prevent sucking air into the modulators. If you saw just the brake light, something other than fluid level could have set the light.
