I posted this once before. Seat would go up but not down. Bought a complete switch harness. Upon disassembly...I found a dime stuck in the switch. Removed dime and sold the switch harness on the forum. Just a slight chance but worth a look.
My passenger seat goes up down but will not go forward or backward. I cannot remove the seat because I need to move it forward to get to the rear bolts. So, I cant replace the carpet until I figure out a way to get the seat out. Any one have any ideas?!
My driver's power seat will move every way except forward. I've fooled around with the switch, but the seat will only move forward occasionally. Not too worried about it because I'm the only one who drives it. But, being kind of picky, I'd like to get this fix. Any suggestions? :smash:
If it buzzez when you select the switch to forward your gear is probably bound up. There is a gear that runs in a toothed track inside the track rails. A little grease should fix the problem. I recently took mine apart to repaint them and its pretty simple. 3 10mm bolts, a few spring clips, and two cotter pins.
Since I don't hear a Buzz, I assumed it was the switch. which I took apart and cleaned. Maybe, I'll give it another look. Thanks. BTW the post about the motors was very informative.
