My 88L-98 will start right up and then will stummble alittle to a stop. Dosen't desile. You can keep it running but won't idle alone. The only thing different I did was a new intake and a compleate tune up. The timing is good, the fuel pressure is good, the used afftermarket T/B I got is on it, but I put my stock one one and the same thing was happening. I don't know where else to look. Thanks  Also all the emisions stuff is off except the egr. :beatdeadhorse:
Make sure all vacuum lines are hooked up:
-one under the TB
-two on the right side of the TB
-check for vacuum leaks around the TB
Will it idle at normal idle speed if you press the accelerator? If so adjust the stop on the TB to keep it running at idle and use the instructions on my site to set the base idle and TPS.
Does the new TB have a gasket under the top plate; if not get some good sheet gasket material and cut one for it.

Re: Engine starts and stumbles off (65Z01)
[Hijack]
I have just done extensive changes and am having a similar issue. 65Z01, let me ask you, could failing to plug the vacuum port under the TB cause this: ?
I didn't replace the o-rings on the injectors because I was going to replace the injectors in the near future. Could I be getting vacum leaks from the injector ports. You can move the injectors around....they are origanal. Not a realy tight fit.
