I read a post not long ago where people use the chassis dyno to break in an engine, but I didn't do that. So now I'm curious when it is safe to let it rip on a chassis dyno. Also at what point should I put synthetic in?

After a few oil changes, what did your builder tell you?
Usually you go 500, 500-1000, then you can switch to synth and beat the hell out of it. Some builders will say go 500-1000 then 3K and switch, some will say 500, 1000, switch.

I built the engine. Good??? Guess I'll find out.
I dumped the first oil at about 30-40 minutes. I had a vibration issue so I was afraid to rev it much in that timeframe. The vibration is now solved, and I feel comfortable driving it harder now. I've only put maybe 200 miles on the 2nd fill so far. There is a local dyno day next Sat. and I want to know how much driving I need to do between now and then.
