ok... this is interesting... on the 96, there is but one control for the seats... it is shared, if I remember rightly, you have to switch between them...
2nd... if it's manual, it will have a release right below the sitee's left leg.
my passenger seat NEVER moved, and I thought it was "fixed" in the reart most position !! There really ins't a reason the passenger seat should move !!
it's a 96 with sport seats.
The wiring harness for the '94-'96 sport seats has a pair of identical connectors located under the drivers seat. If the connectors are plugged into the wrong place (reversed ), the passenger seat controls are disabled. If you can't move the seat, but can adjust the bolsters and lumbar, there's a good chance that the connectors are backwards.
that is exactly my problem. the lumbar controls work fine for both seats. just the passenger seat does not move when you choose the selector to passenger. I thought it was normal.
you said I have to take out the driver seat to get to the passenger seat connector?
thanks !!
It's a lot easier to work in in the area with the entire seat/track out of the way, but you might be able to get to the connectors with just the bottom cushion removed. This is one of those satisfing DIY jobs - your car will work the way it''s supposed to, and the cost is $zero!
