Default instrument cluster question

Does anyone know if the ZR-1 instrument cluster is interchangable with the one for the l-98?

I will take a guess and say if your car is a 90-91 that a 90-91 ZR1 dash should work. Only thing though unless your l98 is modified you wont be able to take advantage of the higher rpms shown on the ZR1 dash. l98's seem to fall flat when they get revved high. I used to have an 89.

The guy I bought it said he modified the head and put a cam in it and said he runs it up to 6500, and it tachs out at 7200, so that should be just right for the ZR-1 dash.

Yes, it was plug-n-play, putting a '91 ZR1 cluster on my '91 L98.

My understanding it has a different digital display due to ccm.

I was told that a 1990 to 1993 was similar in the electronics, and is plug and play. the only difference was that 1992 and 1993 were white instead of orange. The 1994 will not work because the plug and back is wired different for two of the guages. I just got a used guage and now have to replace it (carefully), I have heard that I could send it off to TPIS or LPE and get it calibrated and have a zr1 tach face put on it.
