Yesterday I was driving my car around and it was on the interstate and the thing kept dieing really quick but then starting up again (Did this about three times on the interstate and then was fine for awhile. Later that night the car was really really jerking and was bucking around. Anything under 3000RPM was undriveable. When I would rev up the car it would hesitate and wouldn't rev very high and then be very rough when the revs were droping.
Today I get in the car after putting some fuel treatment in the car and drive it around all day with no problems. Tonight I tried to start the car and it would crank but not start (The radio and everthing still work.)
Anyideas? I'm dreading the fact that it may be the opti but I really don't know.
Could be any number of fuel problems. Pump, filter, injector. Don't rule out a bad optispark. My lt4's went out at 64K and I hear there good for about 60-70k and that's it. It might need replacing, when it starts to go out the car will only run well at higher rpm's anything lower than 3000 rpm's causes studdering.
Well my car has 30K on it....what you discribed sure sounds like my problem. I check the fule pump by pulling off the two fuel lines and turning the key to "on" and thier is fuel going to the motor.
