is the JET underdrive pulley kit worth anything? im not a firm believer of pulleys unless your deleting a pulley intirely( i.e;smog pump eliminator kit) is it a honest whopping 3-5hp gain? not big but its hp. what brand are you using and what do you think of em'? thanx 4 ualls $.02 :)
Re: whos using underdrive pulley kits? (SHINOBI-X)
TPIS pulley kit. Contains crank and Alt pulleys, no loss of charge at all for me with the diff. sized alt pulley. Engine pulled/revved a little faster after the pulley install. I've done most of my mods at the same time as another, but I did the pulleys by themselves, so what I felt was from the pulleys and not another mod. :seeya
March here too. Although I ordered the cheaper, black version. After several years I notice black starting to peel... big suprise to find polished alum under all that paint... Also installed w/ several mods so no direct comparison.
yeah, the kit stated what you'd need for it and you can refrense it if you'd rather have a different belt. i use goodyear gatorbacks since i work at a goodyear retail tire store.i put on the pullies today at lunch and can say i actually tell a difference  probobly 10hp. now call me a lier but my crossfire responded well to the mod and i bet it picked up a tenth along with the fuel filter replacement too. when i install my LT1 pump in the tank later this week if i have time i'll gtec and post before and after both mods.
I have HyperTech pulley kit with the belt. I only used the crank pulley. So save some $$$ and buy only that. The kit makes the alt. go down too much at idle. If you only race COOL get the kit but IIKKWIKT I would only get the crank pulley....

Why would you buy only the crank pulley?? That smaller alternator pulley is there to compensate for the slower turning belt, it makes your voltage go up, not down
Re: whos using underdrive pulley kits? (SHINOBI-X)
I got mine from racenet. Smaller crack, larger waterpump and alternator pulleys. No charging problems, no overheating problems. $129 and .2 less in the 1/4 mile. Used the original belt.
it took me a whooping 20min to do it with air tools.hardest part was walking back to my tool box and getting the wrong sockets and extensions.not hard at all.
