Is the manifold base and plenum interchangable between the 82-84 camaro, firebird and corvette? thanks

The Firebird used a 305... and I am sure as I can be when I say, it won't flow worth a damn.

The Firebird used a 305... and I am sure as I can be when I say, it won't flow worth a damn.
i want to try to port my manifold, but if i screw up i want a backup, plus so i can drive the car and not rush.... so i want to know if i can get any manifold.

They are not only interchangable, they are the same parts. The Crossfire was used 1982-1984. There are two different bases. One has "balance holes" between some of the runners, and the other doesn't. With or without balance holes was a year model distinction, not an engine size difference. When I ported my manifold, I bought a "spare" rather than tie the car up. The spare had the "balance holes". I epoxied them closed. I can't imagine it makes much difference, either way.
