Turned key nothing happened
got in my 90 after work turned tthe key and nothing happened no nosie of any kind .radio,powerd windows, locks and all lights worked. After moving auto shifter in & out of gears& moving steering wheel it started up. Dose anybody know what was going on :confused: :confused:

VATS, best thing you can do is go and get a new key made. The original key for my 88 will do this often. The two year old key hardly ever does it.
THe other oprion is to replace the ignition switch and that is expensive.

Same thing happened to me a few months back in the GS. A guy in a truck stopped by and asked if I needed help. I explained the problem, and he said to get back in, take the ignition key out of the column, and turn the wheel back and forth a few times. Bingo! Started right up after that. Must have been a problem with the column lock; very strange, though. He said that the same thing happened to him before in his Vette.
