Jump "A" to "C" on thE ALDL with a paper clip. Key on (engine off). The idiot light will flash the codes.

If you get any of these codes you have two choices. Buy a service manual and attempt to fix it yourself or take it to a dealer. If you have broken gears or a burnt out motor prepare yourself for sticker shock!
It doesn't really flash the numbers... what it will do is flash your Service Ride Control light once and then twice (12) then a slight pause and do that sequence 2 more times for a complete cycle. If there are any codes after that (see numbers mentioned above), then those are the codes you have. It will end by flashing the 12 sequence again to let you know that's all.
Mike, you're right about the flashes. Just got eager to be finished I suppose, and assumed he knew what I meant. But the system can be a bear to trouble shoot and the necessity for getting the car off the floor to access everything in the rear is a problem for some folks. In my own case, I spent many hours trying to resolve a problem. Then THREE dealers had a shot. Spent a lot of money, replaced a lot of parts... and still had the problem. Got in touch with Gordon. No help. One dealer had the car for three days and didn't charge me a dime. I talked to the techs and they were frustrated almost to tears. They subbed everything, even by-passed the wiring, cleaned and checked connectors, tried different shocks and motors, etc., computer, speed sensor and came up empty. They went behind the dash, looking for shorts, etc. So I just threw my hands up and decided to abandon the system. I don't think everybody can be incompetent. One of the techs has been working on C4s since they came out and he couldn't believe he had failed to fix it. Bottom line: I could have bought several sets of the best shocks known to man for the money I have spent. :banghead: :banghead:
I have to assume that you addressed me, Kitt. The problem seems very straight-forward. (HA!) Below 55 degress ambient outside air temp, system works. Above 55 it throws a code 22! No one has discovered why in spite of all the attempts to fix it. Dang near everything has been subbed and the problem persists! (ECM, too!)
It seems like a connector may be bad on the bulkhead as it leaves the rear compartment. Typically if all the sub components are check/replaced sometimes a loose connection at the bulkhead could be suspect. A lot of water is consistantly splashed in that area and as the metal expands it may be seperating from the harness. Its a single 7 MM bolt and you can verify it by seeing if any of the pins wobble in the connector when its out. You could also have a wire that is rubbing over the driveshaft housing were the harness passes over the drive shaft beam. Or it could be the a wire chip near the pass rear loop near the wheel well from debris. If all else has been done, this is where I'd be looking next if all the voltage messurements are in order. Or you could get someone with and ease dianostic tool with the body control module interface and watch the timing sequences in real time.
