Default Power steering issue

Recently replaced hi pressure hose and now I am getting foamy fluid

and a whine from the pump. It did not do this initially after replacing the hose,

so if any of you have a surefire way to get the air out, or what I am doing

wrong, please let me know.. Thanks

top off the fluid and crank the wheel left and right a few times... lock to lock.

that should remove any air in the system....

Should this be done with the car off and the front end jacked up?

Or do I start 'er up and go lock to lock?

:iagree:

The service manual says something like...
1. Jack the car up in the air.
2. 10 turns lock to lock with the motor off.
3. Top off with fluid.
4. Start the car
5. 10 turns lock to lock.

Works like a champ.

Actually if you have a power steering cooler, you need to turn it lock to lock 40 times.
