Default Code 24

****THIS IS POSTED IN SCAN/TUNE AND TECH/PERFORMANCE****
Just got done trying out the little A-B Jumper trick on my 85, and I came out with a code 24. That shows as being the Vehicle Speed Sensor. It read that that it could just be a bad connection or possibly an ECM going bad. Anyone had this code before and have any suggestions? I've never done anything computer related on this car, so forgive me for asking, but where is the ECM located, and which wires should I tighten. Likewise, where is the vehicle speed sensor? Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!

Well if you're going to start working on your car you need a manual to guide you. The ECM is under the dash on the passenger's side. Right under the hush panel (above passenger's feet). If you have a bad back, avoid it. It requires contorting yourself in positions to be able to see what you're doing.
After you get it down, remove the two connectors and make sure the contacts are clean....then re-install them. You can leave the ECM down while you start the car again the test the code. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is located under the car on the transmission.
