I went with the .50 Gap and very very happy with the results.I would also like to mention, that when I took off the plug wires I noticed 3 of them had been burned from heat. what I thought was a exhaust leak was a noise of the arc from the wire. This also solved a hard to start problem and fuel load up. I see guys post these same problems and come back with very costly repairs and maybe it could just be a wire. $100 in parts and she runs like a champ!!! Thanks,Guys
I though I'd try .050 on the new plugs I just installed. After all I have a hotter coil installed. It ran OK. I then pulled the plugs out after 40 miles and tried the plugs at .045. It ran a little better and it felt stronger. I then tried .040 and ran it again. I did feel a little boost. I don't know if it was just psycological the last time. I did leave them at .040 and have no complaints.
