Headlight motor wont stop!
This morning when I got to work I turned off my headlights and they closed as usual. But...the passenger side motor kept running and made a sound that almost made my hair stand on end! I raised the hood and realized where it was coming from so I turned the lights back on. They rolled out just as pretty as you please and no loud noises. I turned them back of and the same thing happened again. I couldn't get the thing to stop after the lights rolled back in. I pulled my light switch out to parking lights position and the motor stopped. When I pushed it all the way back in the motor would keep running. I had to unplug the whole unit so I could turn my lights all the way off and not run down my battery. Do I have a bad switch, relay, or motor. Where is the relay if there is one? I don't have my shop manual with me. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Troy :banghead:

Your problem is inside the headlight motor. There are two contacts that turn off the motor (one for each direction) when the motor gets to the end of the doors travel. Remove the motor and take the case apart and observe the cause of the problem.
