Hi All,
I was checking the fuel pressure of my car. When key on ON position it goes up to 52 PSI and in less than 10 secs goes down to 20 and stays there for a while. I inspected ALL the injectors, changed the O-rings and there is no leak in the injectors that I could see. I pinched the main fuel line and the return fuel line but the results were exactly the same, there was no change on the way that the pressure goes down.
With such a leak would't I be able to see gas comming out of the injectors or the leaking point? Could it be the gauge playing games with me?
i would guess its the check valve in the tank...but if you really pinched the send and return lines real good that can't be it...i'm not sure that you would actually SEE fuel leaking from the injectors though...how old r they...and how well does the car actually run? i would imagine that fuel pressure while running is the biggest concern.
The BLMs are 120-124 both sides. You can smell the fumes that the car is running rich  But it starts right away and I didn't see any driveability problems.
Thanks for you reply
maybe fuel pressure regulator is bad?? just make sure that if you have stock that you stick with stock...i know the 85 has a different FPR than any other corvette (or other GM vehicle for that matter) ever made..
