Default 3.73's are In!!!!

Changed out the gears in the Dana 36 with Precision Gears and the master kit. Great news! No whine, just a whole lotta Zooooom. Thank you Forum for the set-up advice. The hot cam really appreciates the higher Rpm's and the torque increase is unbelievable; my best Mod ever. Thanks everyone.

First time in twenty years someone else worked on one of my cars. (except mufflers, I can't weld yet!) I read so many threads on gear whine, I got scared and decided to go pro. I think I made the right choice. He charged me $250.00 to set the gears and $50.00 to correct speedo. :seeya

$250 for the gears and to put them in? Is that all? or was that for just the labor.....how much did you pay total for the job?

Iam looking to maybe do my gears....i have 3:07's now....want a better 1/4 without sacrificing too much highway speed.

you can see my post....look for xtrememvette....gears...

[QUOTE]
:iagree: 3.73s are fun, but traction can be an issue, especially with high stall. Still trying to find out how to launch right. But even with lots of spining can do 0-60 in 4.6s
