Default OK, heres a wierd one

I started the car up this morning with no problems. The wierd part was that the hvac controls had reset back to 75* and on auto. It was as if the battery had been unplugged, but the radio didn't reset at all.

Anyone had this happen? What does the ecm control as far as the electronic hvac?

My '88 did the same thing. About 2-3 months later I started the Car and ALL lights on the dash were lit as I backed out of the driveway. I hit a bump and everything was normal, hit another bump and the Car died. Waited about 20-30 mins and she started like normal. It turned out to be the computer, something with the board I guess. If you tapped the comp. with the scanner plugged in the Car would stumble, and no info going to or from the comp. Tap it again and everything was normal. Just reach under the dash with Car running and tap the Comp.(ecm). See if anything happens.

Hopefully it's not the ecm. It was just replaced about a year ago or so.

Thanks for the input. I'll get out there and give that a try.
