Default take a look at this cam

lobe separation 109.3
valve overlap -30.5 crank degree
centerline int 105.3 atdc /exh 113.3 btdc,
duration int 181.8 crank degree/exh 194.2,
peak cam lift int .233/exh .255,
peak valve lift int .362/.373exh,
lift at tdc int .0199/.0198 exh.
dur at .050 int. 181.8/exh .194.2
what would this cam do in a 5.7. what is this cam set up for? The 109.3 lobe sepation is quite low possible giving a rough idle but being the lift numbers are low maybe not. What do you all think about this cam and what would it be good for?

Waaay too many extraneous numbers jumbled in there to make any sense of. What *I* noticed was, " valve overlap -30.5 crank degree ". Is that, negative 30 1/2 degrees??? If it really refers to 30* of overlap, then "lope" won't be a problem Good luck, and...

That cam would be good for nothing in a 350. Less than .400 lift?!?! That sounds like a 4 cylinder cam.

If that 181.8 is the .050 number, then it's a very, very short duration camshaft. A lot shorter than even the stock TPI camshaft.

I suspect it is for something like a 305 - Three-Oh-Five - or maybe even something smaller in displacement, like a 283 or, what was the other little guy, a 262.

You can post your question on the ThirdGen.org board because some of those guys have Three-Oh-Five engines in their 'F' bodies.

I think there was a 262, 20 or so years ago. The original "mouse" was a 265.

Definitely way wimpy even for a 305, I have an ex 1980 350 Corvette cam in a 305, (low 200's @ .050 ?), and that doesn't feel big or lumpy at all.

Could you weld it to an old rotor and make a desk lamp out of it or something

That's exactly what I thought about it but the 109.3 had me confused. A cam with higher number like a 112 or 116 would be more of a radical cam? PS it would make an ugly lamb even.

Waste of time cam. As a comparison here's some of the specs from a cam I just installed in a 350:

269/269 @ .006
.528/.528 lift with 1.6 lifters
Lobe centerline is 110 with a 4d Advance

So what does that make the lobe centerline, without the advance?

CFI,

The lobe centerline is 106 WITH the advance. 110 without. Sorry I didn't clarify that.

OK, I got you. That is the intake lobe centerline, installed, and not the LSA. I'm with you.
