Default Knock sensor question

Will a knock sensor for an '89 corvette work with an '86? Thanks. :cheers:

I dont know if it will work but it is a different P/N. 84-86 use the same sensor and 87-89 use the same one. Just for added info 90-91 use the same then 92-95

I just installed the 16038331 module on my 86; GMPARTSDIRECT.COM, $54.00 which included shipping.

I haven't had a chance to do any WOT blasts to see what difference it makes, but I didn't get any code.
