More water pump issues.
My last 1.5 year old water pump started leaking from the weep hole last week. I've got a friend that gets pretty good discount from NAPA, so I had him order me the best new water pump that they carry. It came with lifetime warranty. I put it in few days ago, and noticed that each time I let the car run for a little while, the pump get wet right around the weep hole. All the hoses are tight and dry. There doesn't seem to be any leaks from the gaskets. What are the chances of a brand new pump leaking right away? Looks like I'll be pulling it out again this week and hopefully replace it with a good one.

You say that the pump is getting "wet" around the weep hole....is the coolant fluid dripping? If you do not have visible evidence of coolant, I would just wipe off the moisture for a few times and see if this just disappears. The water pump is "booger" to change out...and you know this! I have not seen a good quality water pump leak out of the box.

yep, it is coolant. I let it run for about 15 minutes and there was a puddle of coolant on the floor about 2 inches in diamater. Ereytime I wipe down the bottom of the pump, let car run for a while, it gets wet there again.
