I think the fuell pump I just put in is junk.Or somtin. The car stummbles hard and gets wors when the tank is sort of empty. But car runs works fine on a full tank. I posted this before and someone said it may be water, and I bought a fuell system "formula" that some how removes any water. And i've gone through another tank since then. Everything from the fuell injectors to the pump is new and was working since the new pump.
I got a recomendation to replace the I.A.C to solve a idle problem and both the idle and stummble problem are way worse now after the new one was installed. The T.P.S is set correctly also. For all that I know the new I.A.C is in correctly also.
Any clue's
Also the pump makes a verry wired noise(not normal) from day one. And the stummble is apon hard excelleration. But goes away when the tank is full. And dose it all the time now since I installed the new I.A.C. Could someone please tell me the right way of the replacement of the I.A.C. I read the directions in a manuall just in case.
The IAC only contols idle and doesn't affect mashing the loud pedal. Your pintle must not be extended more than 1 1/8" (from base of motor to tip of pintle) when you install it. The IAC will reset itself. My car will stumble when i'm near empty but gauge shows a few bars. Is this the case, or does it do it everwhere but full.

Pull the codes from the ECM....you will get code 1453 (critical spelling error)
You will also get code 1788 (low grammar signal)

Seriously though, how many pounds of fuel pressure do you have? Did you change the sock on the pump assy when you changed the pump? Eliminate the water concern....now that you're low on fuel, siphon out the remainder and refill with fresh fuel.

Re: New fuell pump junk (Frizlefrak)
My car used to stutter bigtime around turns with less than 5 gallons, and sucked in general on a low tank. Then the pump died on the freeway and stranded me.
Since replacing it, and the filthy black fuel sock, I have had NONE of the infamous fuel starvation problems, and picked up some more useable RPMs where the engine started to cutout before.
Also the pump makes a verry wired noise(not normal) from day one.
You should only be able to hear it prime up when the key is on. You should not really be able to hear the pump while the engine is running, by ear. If possible, listen to how someone else's C4 pump sounds like when it primes and when the motor is running. You will tell a difference if yours is bad right away just by ear.
Comming home from work the car was very hard to start and wile driving the car the car dose the same thing as a unpluged mass air flow but twice as bad. Now its to the point I cant even drive it.

Re: New fuell pump junk (CFI-EFI)
I had that problem with my 96 and I installed the Racetronix fuel pump for a little under $200, now I can run with 1/8 tank and have no problems. When I put the new pump in I realized that the old pump wasn't down far enough in the trough feed it enough fuel. I would just try bending the lines so that your pump sits down in the tank lower. Otherwise the Racetronix unit isn't a bad way to go.
I have a fuell press. guage but its not long enough to extend it to the windshield. I need to be able to see the guage wile driving ( i think ) because it acts up when the engines has a load on it when driving.
Im going to replace the fuell pump now. Just to see. The pump had a "warrentee for life"
