Im looking for the fuses for the fuel pump and for the cold start valve.
Does anyone know where they are located in a 86? I believe both are 5 amp but can't seem to find them.
Thanx
OK I found the fuel pump fuse behind the center dash. Why does my test light only light up on the fuse when the car is cranking? As soon as it starts and I let off the key to run position the light goes out. Is there something else powering the fuel pump after that? Oil pressure switch maybe?
I still cant find the cold start fuse......anybody know where it is??
Trying to track down a hard start when cold. Fuel pressure is 45psi when key is first turned on.
The fuel pump fuse is located in the fuse panel on the passanger end of the dash, between the door and the dash. It is labeled "FP". Is there a cold start valve and/or a cold start valve fuse?
Okay, here goes, the cold start valve is protected by the Fuse link A (red) which goes to the ignition switch and if that is open then it should not crank. there is also a 6 amp fuse in the center panel (Auxilliary Fuse Block) marked Crank Fuse. The CSV should only operate at ambient temps or coolant temps below 95F. Good Luck
