Default Wiper Motors, Control System

Hello everyone -

I'm jumping up here from C3 land - those of us
with the pulse wiper system have a terrible problem.

There's a little control board that keeps going bad,
is not generally available and is terribly expensive
when you CAN find one. The whole system is a
mess and a source of constant problems.

How is your system setup? Basically, what controls
the delay or pulse function - is that built right into
the motor assembly?

I and any number of other C3 owners would very
much appreciate some info and even a wiring
diagram if anyone has one available. I'd love
to try to figure out how to totally replace that
C3 pulse system with a later model system that
actually works!

Thanks for any help or advice!

C4s have a circuit board built in to the plastic cover of the wiper motor. The board/cover assembly seems to control everything. Its pretty reliable but when it goes its pretty expensive also. The drawings are probably in my shop manual but I have no way to scan or copy.

Thanks for the info.

I searched for C4 wiper motors on ebay and found
a surprising number, all but one pictured with the cover.

The one without the cover looked like the same interior
mechanism, but it appears you have an external plug
to the motor.

Overall, they look like they'd pretty much fit right
into place.

Thanks again.

Oh, the C3 control board is over $250 when you
can find them, and not reliable.

My wiper motor has three plugs, and, yes, one of them is made to the bottom of the motor.
