I posted this in another thread and some of you may have missed it.
I came across a hack for the AUJP 730 SD bin that allows real time logging of your WB02. I was sceptical if it would actually work, but it does like a champ. And it a sinch to hook up.
It will work on any WB that outputs 0-4volts on Vout. Most WB will.
I am using mine with the Tech Edge setup. It will work on most any datalogging setup also. If you have a WB and a scanner, your a fool not to do this.
You can easily log a run, have your RPM and WB data overlayed and see exactly where you need to add or remove fuel.
All you have to do is run a wire from the Vout on the WB, to the A3 pin of the 730 ECM. And use the hacked AUJP bin. DONE.
It displays the AFR in the commanded AFR field, which is stupid anyways, since its always remains 14.7 on most dataloggers. With this it will fluctuate to your exact AFR.
I will post the bin that is hacked tonight or very soon. I do not take any credit for the hack, just wanted to share it. It was so easy to do, its nearly sick.
Only downfall I see is the SYS light will remain on while using this hack since the ECM knows some data is getting fooled with, but the car will run perfect.
My DFI 7 is tuned with a WB02 then the regular one goes back in. Not sure why that is, but I was nuts to spend what I spent on the DFI 7. The WB02 was $900 more...no thanks ;)
Re: Getting Fancy with a WB02......READ HERE! (tjwong)
Its in the above link.
JD I was speaking to a guy this weekend with the fast or dfi system. Now with the ability to log the WB, I can't see how either of those system are better....
I thought before you could just dial in a AFR for part throttle and it would run that AFR, learn the setting and the tune would be dead on. That would be great, but what he said is you have to go through the same exact process I do to get the MAP table correct for part throttle. Except they give you a few to try... :skep: For 3 grand, I would expect it to do the above on its own. NOW I really can't see the advantage.

Ski,
I have the EASE scan tool and it doesn't show the commanded air/fuel ratio.
Does anyone know how to add it to the parameters? I have EASE looking into it. I hope they call me backwith an answer. What are you using for voltage/afr ratio out of the wide band? 0v = 22:1 4v = 7:1 ??? or something like that?
