4 + 3/6 speed
Quick question,
What year did the 4 + 3 tranny stop production and when did the 6th speed start, and has there ever been a 5 speed ??
I'm just wondering because I have an 88, with an automatic tranny, and was curious to know '... what if my car was manual, would I of had a 4 + 3 or a 6 or 5 speed.

There was no 5-speed, if you had a manual it would've been the 4+3.

The 700R4 automatic is the basic platform and is known by other names like the 4L60. In late 93, the tranny got electronics and became known as the 4L60E.
