my o rings have been leaking the last few years, so wednesday i replaced the old original injectors with new ones and new o rings, i started it and it idled beautifully. i went to take off and it didnt want to come off idle, just wanted to die. i looked inside the air cleaner and saw that both choke flaps were closing with the engine hot as soon as i started it. i disconnected both vacuum lines so the chokes would stay open and it again started and idled beautifully. i tried to take off again and it went up my street great... then as soon as i turned on the main road, it went through first, 2nd and third fine, then as soon as i let off in fourth, it started to chug and skip badly. it couldnt even maintain speed so i pulled over and turned around. again, it accelerated well, but as soon as i got to fourth and backed off just to maintain speed it started chugging and missing like crazy like on 4 cylinders. please help ive put crazy money into it this year trying to make it run well, want to use it this summer. :nonod:
i changed the fuel filter last weekend. i havent measured the fuel pressure, but i dont see how it could accelerate fine, but cut out at part throttle. maybe theres a bad connection at the fuel pump and sometimes its shutting off?
