My 85 starts right up and runs fine take it down the road and it gos like hell until it warms up to normal temp. than it starts to boug down when you accelerate hard and cough and gag. But as long as you don't give it to much gas all at once it will slowly get up to highway speed okey. Cruiser

Sounds like something is partially blocking your air intake.
Pull everything ahead of the throttle body off the car and check it out....don't forget to put a new air filter element in while you are at it.
So far let me tell you what I've done Car has new fuelpump, fuel filter, FPR, coollant sensor, coldstart switch, MAT sensor, dist. cap and rotor, plugs & wirers, MAF sensor, burnoff module, airfilter and fuel pressure is right where it should be and the car still dosen't run right. Also I should say the car idles and starts just fine you wouldn't know there is
a problem until you drive it down the road.
Thats rough... It sounds like you put a lot of green into this already. I just bought a beeter for a backup rig that did the exact same thing. I ended up just junking the thing but the best guess I had was maybe the cat was clogged, but a new cat was more $ than the car cost.
One thing I forgot to say before was that the car has duel Exhaust and no Catalytic converter and the pipe that went to the cat. is pluged. I was thinking that maybe that is the problem but the car has been that way for four
years. Cruiser
