Is a Throttle Position Sensor on a 1990 Corvette adjustable. I know mine is way out of wack, coming in at .72 volts. But, if you lossen the screws, you really don't have much room to rotate the TPS. I can't get it any lower. I have seen TPS's where the hole that the screws go into are a lot larger and the hole opening is "Arch" shaped to allow you to rotate it a bit. The holes on mine are just round holes.
you do not have an adjustable TPS. The most you can do is bend the tang a little. Another thing you can do is disconnect the battery, and it will zero the computer. Then your TPS may be a different voltage intially, till the computer re-learns the positions of your throttle. Our MAP cars are just a little different that all the rest of those MAF or OPTI cars....

Ah, well I'm glad you posted first. Seeing as how you actually have a 90 as well. I was just about tell him some info about MAF based TPIs, I forgot 90-91 vettes had MAP like you stated. I almost made myself look like a rookie.
One last comment on this. I am having problems with the Idle. When in park, you can feel the idle surging a little, not much but it is not smooth. When in drive and you come to a stop, the idle is really low and sometimes stalls. Which route do I go. I know my TPS is putting out incorrect voltage. Thanks for any help
I too have a 1990 car....and not sure...but want to get the most out of my TPS...and seeing under 65Z01 website about adjusting your TPS (you can peek it a little)....I researched it further.....For a while was bummed cause other people had adjustable sensors...but not us poor 90 and 91 users.....well guess what....CORVETTE CENTRAL....sells an adjustable one now....for 90 and 91 cars....comes with clips, alligator clamps, everything.....$50 brand new...in their catalog....considering the original is either close to this or the same price....might as well go with the adjustable one....Check it out....its in their new catalog or go online at http://www.corvettecentral.com
