This is what I did to fix it. New Pro Topline 180/64cc iron heads, full roller rockers and push rods. The new heads needed longer push rods. The only problem is I don’t know which part was causing the problem. I suspect the valves.
Before it tore into it I narrowed it down to number one intake by listening
to it running with the valve cover off. I tried to adjust it when it was running.
I could definitely tell when I backed it off that I got to zero lash but adding
half or even one turn did not get rid of it completely.
