1ST C4 (1984)
by the way it a 1984 vette with 69.000 miles ,one owner :seeya
The injection is what everyone comlains about on the 84. Mine worked flawlessly but it made no power at all. The problem with my 84 was everything else went wrong with it. I think it was due to the first year design on the parts. It had the Z51 suspension which handled like a go cart, but rode like hell. I kept the car just over a year and traded it for the 85 which I kept for just under 9 years.

The '84 Vette came only with the 350cit L83 CF engine.
A copy of the "Corvette Black Book" (Amazon) will list the options available for that and all years of vettes.
With C4s you need to check that all options work including the headlights and digi dash. Check under for fluid leaks or chassis rust. Of course condition of paint, interior and weather strip as well as tires are important as these are big $$ items to replace, especially a quality paint job.
According to May, 2004 Vette magazine typical 1984 Covette pricing guide lines are as follows, based on condition:
$11.5 - excellent
$8 - good
$6-average
Add 10% if it has RPO Z-51 (check options list under console lid); add 25-50% for an unrestored Vette in good to excellent condition.
Subtract $500 if it has a 4-speed tranny.
Drive it and see how the car feels; if you like it and the price is right go for it.
