INFL REST

This code is flashing when I start the car.It goes away after 5 seconds.Does anybody know what this code means? Thanks.

not sure on your car, but i had a 1991 Z/28 that did this exact same thing. On that particular car it was just to let you know the INFLATABLE RESTRAINT system was operative and was completely normal. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you have nothing to worry about. Just a normal on self test. Anyone agree?

I think it says what you say in the owners manuel.

My 91 owners manual says the same thing,that' normal :auto:
