I have a vibration when the car shifts into D while I am either in D or OD doesnt matter which. I am having the tires balanced and the front end aligned today but in the case this doesnt cure it what you guys think. I also thought that if this isnt it pull the dust shield and check the torque on the TC bolts and changing the balancer. I want to rule out possibilitys before I take it to a tranny shop for another rebuild since I had one done about 2 yrs ago. TIA Zach
I've gotten a weird "lurching" sensation on shifts before due to an air leak in the intake manifold (believe it or not). I"m not sure if it's due to the surging of one or more cylinders secondary to the extra air at lower rpm's or what, but it has happened. The fix was to lock the tranny into a lower gear and forcing the trans to shift at higher rpm's while cruising to avoid the problem until it's fixed. I have a hunch that the screwy symptoms of an air leak at lower rpm's can fool the ECM into locking/unlocking the torque converter in rapic sequence also causing a wierd lurching feeling in specific situations... Also make sure your TV cable is *properly* adjusted and see if that helps.
